Palo Santo, Carlos Nino, An offering

An Offering is a fluid, mediation from Carlos Niño, the LA based creative, percussionist, producer, and spiritual jazz steward whose work orbits intuition, healing, fun and community. Recorded with a constellation of collaborators including Andre 3000, Jamael Dean, Laraaji, and notably Photay, the album moves with an organic sense of timing, never hurried. Photay’s presence adds a techno influence somehow, textures rise through the mix like smoke in a club, folding into Niño’s waves of cymbals, bells, and percussion. Together they created something elemental and elevated, synths and chimes converse in a language of knowing. Released on International Anthem, An Offering extended Niño’s practice of improvised spiritual soundwork, part community ritual, part gnerated weather system. Pieces that weren't written they unfold, they invite you into a space of presence and help, you release. A moment of togetherness, tenderly holding and softly squeezing.

Each stick is made by grinding the herbs, flowers, and spices into a powder and then dipping the sticks in resin, rolling the ground herb onto the stick, and then sun-drying.

Packaged with eco-friendly handmade Lokta paper, made from the Lokta bush.  The bush is a renewable resource with the ability to regenerate within six years.
